The signing also marks a new licensing agreement between Social Family Records and Troy’s management team, Oxygen Music Group.

With Troy moving into a new and exciting phase of his career, we are so glad to have him sign with Social Family Records for the release of his upcoming solo album. Jake and the SFR team have made Troy feel incredibly welcome and supported, and their enthusiasm and professionalism has been evident from the get go. As part of the award-winning duo, McAlister Kemp, Troy achieved recognition and accolades both locally and internationally, headlining some of the nations biggest music festivals, remaining a mainstay in country radio with multiple Australian Country Chart #1’s, as well as winning a coveted Golden Guitar. Now he’s embarking on the next stage of his incredible journey.

Solo Album

With my first solo album due for release this September, I couldn’t be happier than to be signing on with the hard working team at Social Family Records. The support and enthusiasm that SFR have welcomed me with has been overwhelming and I look so forward to our journey ahead. Onwards and upwards!” Troy Kemp.

Set to fly to Nashville in June for four solid weeks of songwriting, the tallest man in country music, Troy Kemp, will return to finish recording the album in Sydney before unleashing ‘the album that will define his career’ later this year.

We’ve already given Troy the nickname ‘Friendly Giant’. He’s as humble as he is tall, but above all a genuine Australian talent. We are all so excited he’s chosen to call Social Family Records home as he embarks on an exciting next chapter of his career, as a solo artist. I can’t wait for fans to enjoy the new music. It’s sounding fresh and exciting!” Jake Challenor, CEO, Social Family Records.

Troy Kemp joins a growing roster of artists at Social Family Records, including fellow Golden Guitar recipient, Amber Lawrence, along with Suze DeMarchi, Baby Animals, Steve Balbi, Dallas Frasca, Reece Mastin, Jason Owen, Christine Anu, and David Campbell.
